Sneak Peek

WOW, it's October! Where has the year gone! Time flies, Crazy I tell ya!!

I'm sitting here thinking, dang it's been along time since I've blogged I should do something about that. So here we go!
I now have a Facebook for Doulos Jewelry, click here to see, http://www.facebook.com/DoulosJewelry   or you could just check out my Facebook and see the Doulos as well. Etsy is up and running with more designs and items to be posted this month, just in time for Christmas shopping.

This last year has been very stretching for me and my little family, the Jiminez Tribe. We have been through quite a bit, good, bad, God glorifying, confusing, challenging, exciting, heartbreaking, joyful and down right faith testing. It's so beautiful to look back and see ALL that God has done, even the hard things. He truly does work all things for our good, even when it hurts. Just as a loving father will correct the error his child makes, so God does the same to us because of His great love for us. Praise God! Lots of changes in the near future, exciting and scary but looking ahead I have confidence that my God will supply all things according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus. For the seasons to come, cheers, bring it on! Stay tuned for more details, encouragement and challenges for you and your faith. May God be glorified, amen.

A Prayer of Faith

After a very long break, I am back to the blog!
Isn't it funny how we pray for things and then they happen and we can't believe that it happened even though we were praying for it TO happen...? Hmmm, reminds me of the Apostle Peter in the book of Acts chapter 12.

Peter was in prison, King Herod Agrippa had put him there. He was persecuting the Christians to keep the Jewish people happy and his throne secure. The church, aka Faith Community, was praying for Peter. Praying for God's will, for his safety, to be freed from prison and more! Then all of a sudden, "knock, knock, knock..." on the door. One of the girls goes to the door to see who it is. And can you believe it, it's Peter! Without even thinking or opening the door, she runs back to the rest on the people in the house leaving Peter outside. Exclaiming that, "Peter is at the door, come quick!" And you know what, NO one believed her... They said she was crazy, it's impossible, how could that be, and on and on. Until finally they all came to the door and let him in. Seeing for themselves and praising God with great joy and cheers of victory!

God sent an angel to Peter in prison, his chains were loosed and he was freed. Freed from the two guard he was chained to and the 14 guards that were standing watch, the heavy iron gate was opened, and he safely arrived at his church families house. Wow, God did ALL that to free Peter; and what's funny is the church was praying for that specifically! Yet when it happened they didn't believe it was real, they called the girl who greeted him at the door crazy. It seems they didn't really believe what they were praying. They knew God could do it, but when it actually happened they couldn't believe it was true. Again, they didn't truly believe what they were praying.

Ever find yourself doing the same thing?! Crying out to God for and answer, a healing, a financial need, salvation for a friend or loved one, then it happens and your'e like, "No way, that could NOT have just happened..." But it did, God did. A great reminder of God's faithfulness to hear and answer our prayers, even when we are struggling with unbelief. So what is it your'e praying for? Are you expecting God to move when you pray or just praying because that's just what you do?! I challenge you, pray with expectancy and NOT with doubt. The book of James says, "But let him ask in faith with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double minded man, unstable in all his ways." (James 1:6-8) So, my friend reading this, ask in FAITH! God is able, be ready for wonders!
